Our Process
01. Choosing the Best Raw Materials:
ALUPCO's commitment to sustainability is evident from the first step. We proudly recycle 100% of our industrial scrap generated from extrusion and surface treatments. Furthermore, we collaborate with key market players to reclaim and reuse their scrap. Upholding our dedication to environmental responsibility, we also gather post-consumer scrap, crafting Green products that align with LEED certification standards.
02. Melting and Alloying for Excellence:
In this stage, aluminium scraps and ingots are melted into a liquid state. To obtain the required alloy composition, elements like copper, magnesium, or silicon might be introduced. These additions are meticulously calculated and mixed into the molten aluminium, ensuring the achievement of the targeted alloy properties.
03. Precision Billet Casting:
Here, the liquid aluminium is carefully poured into a pre-designed steel mold, shaped to meet the exact specifications of the billet. This process not only shapes the aluminium but also primes it for optimal solidification, ensuring it meets our rigorous quality standards.
04. Ensuring Uniform Quality Homogenization:
The homogenizing process is crucial for enhancing the billet's extrusion performance. By subjecting the billets to a controlled heating process (560ºC - 580ºC) and then cooling them rapidly, this step aims to eliminate internal stresses and metallographic inconsistencies. The result is a billet with improved extrusion quality and increased final product yield.
